Yes, it’s a fact. Both men and women have the potential to cheat on their partners. The reasons can be different as per a detailed study, where it was found that both men and women expressed different explanations to justify why they were cheating. Majority of times the main reason for men to cheat on their partner is sex.
But women have a different point of view for cheating on their partner. They are of the view that the main reason for cheating is the unsatisfied married life, not being happy with their partner, and not being satisfied with the emotional requirements. The women cheat on their partners due to the emotional reasons and on the other hand most of the men cheat on their partners due to sexual reasons. It was found in a study that seventy to eighty percent men are involved in an extra marital affair and sex was the only reason behind it. But on the other hand only twenty percent of the women were involved in extra marital affair due to sex. But the above mentioned reasons are not sufficient to prove that both men and women cheat on their partners.
What was most alarming was to see that in most of the cheating cases they go unidentified. Most of the cheating partners somehow manage to get away by cheating on their respective partners. There are men and women those who are not even aware of the fact that their partners are cheating on them.
