A man leaving his wife for another woman is a situation experienced by a major percentage of urban marriages or relationships. Unfaithful husbands often move on with their new adventure of infidelity leaving their wife back at home, sulking and devastated. What they don’t see is the consequences of their action on the wife and children, if there are any.
Cheating affects a woman more than a man, as she does not just goes through emotional outburst but also the physical and financial turbulences.
Most women tend to go into a sad state over the act of being lied and cheated, while some tend to give another chance to their husband because they love them or because there are kids to think about. When a man goes away parting from his wife, he does not just hurts her but also tears down the promises, the family and future of his kids. Often, wives whose husband leaves them end up with financial stress too. Those dependants on their husbands for their financial problems and for taking care of their kids end up panicking.
When a man leaves he pushes his wife to an edge of depression causing her to find solace in alcohol, drugs and tears. Fighting a situation like this can be difficult for her, especially on her own, that’s when friends and family can prove their worth. A wife going through the dumping act, caused by an unfaithful or unhappy husband, should never be ignored or left unattended by her close ones.
While only handful of wives would see the positive side of the episode and realize that “it was about him not her”, rest would go into depression and some would even blame themselves for what happened. Not every heartbroken wife thinks rationally about being dumped by her husband, leaving her to think “was it something I did?”
Maybe it was something the wife did, but even to figure that out she needs to think and scrutinize the whole situation, as weeping and killing self over something that can’t be unchanged, not till you start thinking, will help her change herself and the problem she is facing.
When a husband leaves his wife, she must understand that it’s not the end. While a wife must give herself sometime to grieve, but she must also realize that it’s not entirely her fault and she does not deserve to suffer all her life. Separation can be hard but needs to be handled for a better tomorrow, especially when the suffering side is a woman.
Taking professional guidance in coping with infidelity, divorce or separation can also help. Drinking does sound and prove a good escape for some time, but the best way to deal with such situation is to not-to-be a victim.
