Following are some of the points that will help you to deal with depression in a relationship-

* First and foremost you have to understand and discuss the situation with your partner. If your partner is going through a depression try to be positive with your partner and be as helpful as you can, also don’t let him/her feel bad.

* Exercise has always been a great cure for any kind of depression, thus plan out for jogging or long walks with your partner. Doing exercise together not only adds a fun factor in your relationship, but will also help your partner in feeling positive.

* Try to do something other than the usual or regular. You can go out and watch a match or probably go for walking at a new place. Meeting new people and doing things will make add a whole new excitement in your relationship, which will help you and your partner deal with the disappointment causing stress and misery

* Talk more about the problems and try to find a remedy for it. Often, when feelings are left unexpressed and not discussed properly it makes a person feel dejected and depressed. Talking about the problem or confronting the issues is the right way to deal with depression in a relationship.

It can be summed up that a relationship can be healthy when both partners maintain their original individuality. No matter what situation is, you should always be prepared to help and respect your partner’s individuality.
